Eligibility

• Open to all New Mexico residents under age 18 or still in high school.

Composition Guidelines

• Pieces may be in any style or genre, and written for any instrumentation.
• Arrangements, derivations, or non-original music will not be accepted.
• Manuscript must be legible (either handwritten or using notation software).

Submission Guidelines

• Submit two copies of score.
• Submit a recording or MIDI realization on CD or cassette tape if possible (not required).
• On a separate piece of paper, please list:

  Phone Number
  Email Address
  Date of Birth
  Teacher Name
  
  
• Entries must be postmarked no later than JUne 20, 2009.
• For return of materials, include a self-addressed mailer with postage.

Award Process

Winning compositions will be notified by August 1, 2009.
